United States President Joe Biden has led the condemnation of a shooting incident at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania, which left one bystander dead and the Republican candidate wounded. Political leaders from both parties swiftly denounced the violence, with Biden calling for unity and civility in politics.

The incident occurred on Saturday when shots were fired at a Trump campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania, prompting the Secret Service to rush the former president off stage. Trump was seen with blood on his face, but his injuries were reportedly not severe.

President Biden, speaking at an emergency briefing in Delaware, said, “There’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick… We cannot condone this.” He expressed relief that Trump was not seriously hurt and hoped to speak with him soon.

Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Barack Obama, and other political leaders echoed Biden’s sentiments, condemning the violence and calling for civility in politics. Even Trump’s rival, Elon Musk, endorsed Trump and wished him a speedy recovery.
