The Kaduna State Police Command has promised to arrest and bring to justice the culprits behind the brutal attack on Ungwan Wakili community in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday.

In a statement released by the police spokesman, Muhammad Jalige, he revealed that the timely intervention of the joint security personnel prevented the gunmen from wreaking more havoc on the community.

Jalige also assured residents of the community that security operatives were on top of the situation, stating that all those responsible for the attack will be apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law.

According to the police spokesman, the crisis began a few days ago when a young boy who was rearing cattle was murdered. The police have since launched a massive search operation in the area to comb the bushes and locate any possible bodies.

“Repelling the hoodlums was a tedious task for our security agencies, but they were successful as the terrorists scampered away from the scene,” Jalige said.

He further disclosed that a joint security team would be combing the bushes in the area on Sunday afternoon to search for bodies if there are any. They will also apprehend the suspects responsible for the killings.

“We are on top of the situation, and all the hoodlums responsible would be rounded up,” the police assured the community.
