The Nigeria Police has discovered another den of ritualists at Iyana-Ilogbo area after Sango in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The discovery, caused pandemonium, as residents rushed to the abandoned filling station, at the popular Iyana-Ilogbo bus stop, where the discovery was made, to see human parts recovered from the property by the Police Detectives from Sango Divisional Headquarters aided the discovery as two middle-aged men were arrested thereafter while two other people suspected to be members of the gang were reported to have escaped.

While some of the residents told The Guardian that a victim, who was captured on Friday night, but luckily escaped from the den, mobilised people on Saturday morning to the place, others said two victims in custody of the ritualists’ escaped and attempt by ritualists to recapture them led to the discovery.

The police was alerted and their quick response made it possible for two members of the gang to be apprehended.

Although the Police have cordoned off the place when The Guardian visited, sources who had earlier gained entry into the building, said unpleasant odour permeated the place, as several holes filled with blood stains, shoes, under wears, wigs littered the inner part of the building.

They also alleged that fresh human parts; hands, legs and others were recovered from the building shielded by a petrol tank, which made it impossible for passers -by to notice the building from the bus stop.

Residents of the area, who expressed shock about the development, said there have been reported cases of people missing around the area. Nobody, they said had actually thought the abandoned filling station could be used for such purpose.

They appeal to the police and other security agencies, not to shield anybody culpable, but to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous act are brought to justice.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of the State Command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident.

According to him, the incident occurred at about 7.00am, when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), in charge of Sango Division and men of the Anti-Robbery Squad, immediately swung into action having received the information.
