Barcelona Forward, Lionel Messi has acquired a luxury Hotel in Ibiza, around the east coast of Spain.

According to media reports, he concluded the acquisition of the Hotel Es Vive in Ibiza few days ago.

This is the footballer’s latest investment, as he looks forward to retiring in few years to come.

It was gathered that because of the Argentine star, the expansion of El Prat Airport in Barcelona has been neglected.

Although, Spanish Vueling airline President, Javier Sanchez-Prieto said that was not the case.

In a chat with Esade University Barcelona, Sanchez-Prieto said,

“You cannot pass over where Messi lives.”

“This doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world,” he added.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that the athlete once bought his neighbour’s home, to reduce the noise around his home.

Messi has expanded his investment with a luxury hotel which cost about £226.
