Dasuki-Court-1

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Monday morning arraigned former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) at the FCT High Court, Abuja.

Also at court with Dasuki, included a former Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Aminu Baba Kusa and Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the NSA, Salisu Shuaibu. The EFCC slammed a 22-count charge bordering on fraud and money laundering on the three accused persons

They were arraigned before Justice H.Y Baba. They were accused of misappropriating about N32billion between January 13, 2013, and April 17,2015 amounting an offence of criminal breach of trust according to the provisions of section 315 of the Nigerian Penal Code Act, and section 17 (b) of the EFCC Act, 2004.

The EFCC also filed another set of charges before Justice P.O Affe of the FCT High Court in Maitama against Dasuki and a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda and a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, his son, Sagir Attahiru and their firm, Dalhatu Investment Ltd. Bafarawa, Yuguda as well as Sagir were, however, not brought to court Monday.
