Generally, PDP had clinched 13 federal and state seats, while APC got two seats from the results announced so far by INEC.

In a statement signed by the REC, Ikoiwak, investigation was ongoing by the Commission and the details would be made public afterwards.

He said the release of the additional five results were the outcome of INEC’s meeting in Abuja.

Earlier, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to release outstanding results of the rerun state and federal elections held in March 19, 2016.

Speaking on Tuesday, when he received a delegation of the United States and Canada branches of Ogbakor Ikwerre, at the Government House, Port Harcourt, he said the continued delay in the release of the results breeds unnecessary suspicion. and conflict.

He said what transpired at the election was the will of the people, to resist any form of rigging and manipulation of the electoral process.

“We believe that INEC should no longer delay the release of the results. The more they delay, the more there is suspicion, and the tendency for crisis, “ he said.

On security, the governor reiterated that that reports on events in the state are misleading, noting that all states across the country have security challenges.

The governor said political groups, for the pursuit of ungodly goals, were manipulating the Rivers crisis.
