The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye at the May Holy Ghost Service declared ‘holy war’against kidnappers and killer-herdsmen.

Pastor Adeboye said this just before his sermon, held under the theme, Victorious Grace, Adeboye led the mammoth crowd, that included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, to pray against the shedding of blood and kidnapping across the country.

“Our weapons of war are not carnal, but they are mighty for the pulling down of strongholds”, he said.

And the congregation responded: “No more kidnapping; no more shedding of innocent blood all over the nation.”

The three prayer points, in apparent response to the menace of herdsmen and kidnapping, include: “Father, anyone planning to shed innocent blood, send down your fire to consume them all; Father, anyone who has kidnapped or is planning to kidnap as we are praying, set fire wherever he/she may be now. Enough is enough; Father, beginning from now, let things begin to get better in Nigeria!”
