The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has issued a stern warning to those responsible for the abduction and murder of traditional rulers in Nigeria, declaring that the fire of God will consume them.

During the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service programme tagged ‘From The Mountain Top 2’, Pastor Adeboye emphasized the sanctity of traditional rulers and condemned any attempts to interfere with their authority.

“The fire of God will consume all those trying to mess around with our traditional rulers. Because, as far as God is concerned, traditional rulers are anointed,” Adeboye declared.

His remarks come in the wake of recent tragic incidents involving traditional rulers in Nigeria.

The assassination of the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Ogunsola, as well as the abduction of students and instructors during coordinated attacks, have sent shockwaves across the nation.

Additionally, the killing of the Koro of Olukoro, General Segun Aremu (retd), in Kwara State further highlights the escalating violence against traditional rulers.
