Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has made two significant announcements to support public servants in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, and obtained in Osogbo on Tuesday.

Firstly, he has approved a reduction in the number of working days per week to help reduce transportation costs. According to the new schedule, public servants on grade levels 01 to 10 will work three days a week, while those on grade levels 12 to 17 will work four days a week. However, this arrangement excludes essential duty personnel, such as medical staff, security officers, and accounting officers.

Additionally, Governor Adeleke has extended palliative payments to public servants for the next two months, pending the commencement of the new minimum wage. This decision aligns with his commitment to workers’ well-being and responds to the current economic situation in the country.
