Kano state Governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has said that some unfaithful members of the APC in the state, who are using the media to attack leaders or send influential people to seek patronage on their behalf despite their gross incompetence would never get what they are looking for.

He said succumbing to their demands or their blackmail will be doing a great disservice to the good people of Kano state.

He made this known today, Thursday, at the Government House, when APC stakeholders from Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state paid him a thank you visit over the selection of their Son, the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the Governorship flag bearer of the party in the forth coming election.

The governor maintained that in the Kwankwasiyya Movement and indeed the APC, patriotism and loyalty to the party were the major criteria for securing a democratic position.

He, therefore, stated that the choice of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the state APC gubernatorial candidate was purely based on merit and loyalty to the party and Kwankwasiyya Movement, whom, he said was a foundation member.

Gov. Kwankwaso asserted that no one approached him asking him to favor Dr. Ganduje or his running mate, Prof. Hafiz, noting that members are expected to be hardworking and loyal to qualify them for any political posts.

He charged Dr Ganduje to be committed to the progress of the state when elected as the executive governor in the forthcoming election, assuring that the electorate would not vote for any party other than the APC.

The governor told the visitors that the APC gubernatorial candidate was presently heading 90 percent of government committees, adding that there was no project done without his input, which means if he eventually becomes the governor, he would continue with the Kwankwasiyya vision.

He pointed out that PDP members in the state were afraid of promoting their presidential candidate because he has failed Nigerians, stressing however, that the APC Presidential candidate, Gen. Buhari, Kwankwaso as Kano Central Senatorial Candidate and Ganduje were all easily saleable political personalities.

Responding, the state Deputy Governor and APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said most of the prestigious positions he held were facilitated by Governor Kwankwaso, assuring that he would be loyal to Kwankwasiyya Movement forever.
