One person was feared killed, several others were injured on Tuesday at the launch of the All Progressives Congress, APC campaign rally in Lagos state.

okay News gathered that violence broke out between factional members of the party while Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was making an address to faithfuls present at the occasion.

In the course of the fracas, sporadic gunshots rented the air as the warring groups clashed dangerously.

Despite the intervention of the police who were on ground, peace was not returned to the field where the rally took place until the Lagos Police Command reinforced its operatives to the venue.

okay News can authoritatively report that several persons sustained injuries while scampering for safety and one person was reported dead as at the time this medium filed this report.

The deceased, an unidentified male was said to have been hit by a stray bullet.

In a closing remark that lasted about a minute, the APC governorship candidate, Mr Jide Sanwoolu sued for peace and assured that his government would be all – inclusive.
