The Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi, has passed away. Oluwatuyi reportedly died on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from injuries sustained in a car crash last month.

The fatal accident occurred on December 16, 2024, while he was traveling from Akure, the Ondo State capital, to Ibadan in Oyo State. Oluwatuyi had been hospitalized since the crash, but his condition ultimately worsened.

Confirming his demise, the Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Wale Akinlosotu, expressed deep sorrow and paid tribute to the late SSG’s contributions to the state.

“Hon. Oluwatuyi was a dedicated public servant whose unwavering commitment to administrative coordination, policy advisory, and implementation had a significant impact on Ondo State,” Akinlosotu said in a statement.
