Oil marketers have refuted claim of boycotting the Dangote refinery, referencing data from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority showing they lifted 518,500 metric tons of diesel and Jet A1 from the refinery between April and September, representing 60% of national truck-out.

The marketers claim that 489,500 MT of diesel and 29,000 MT of Jet A1 were lifted, products were distributed across Nigerian ports, with 17 diesel shipments to Lagos, six to Warri, two to Port Harcourt, and one to Calabar.

However, clarity on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) availability remains an issue. Marketers await government clearance on PMS offtake modalities.

Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, (DAPPMAN) Executive Secretary Olufemi Adewole emphasized that the sector needs transparency for stakeholders to thrive and supports meeting Nigeria’s energy needs without monopoly.

Adewole reassured Nigerians that DAPPMAN will provide top-notch fuel solutions while securing sector sustainability.
