Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about the tragic loss of his father, shedding light on the grim realities faced by many families in the country’s healthcare system.

In a candid post shared via his social media platform on Wednesday, the artist revealed the harrowing circumstances surrounding his father’s passing, attributing it to the inability to afford a hospital bed space.

Odumodublvck recounted how his father died at home because his family could not raise the sum of N70,000 required for a hospital bed space, underscoring the dire financial constraints they faced.

“When my father died my family was poor. We could not pay hospital bed space of 70k. We had to take him home,” the rapper disclosed.

The ‘Declan Rice’ hitmaker went on to express his frustration with claims by some artists who assert that they paved the way for his musical success.

He adamantly refuted such assertions, emphasizing that his journey was fueled by his own resilience and determination in the face of adversity.

“Coming to tell me about paving the way for me? That is God, brother. No use your ego counter reason my reality, bros. I agree say you inspire me. But bros, you pave the way for nobody. Nobody! I hate when n*ggas try to play God,” he asserted.

His poignant revelation comes in the wake of statements made by veteran rapper Eedris Abdulkareem, who asserted his role in paving the way for the new generation of Nigerian artistes.
