THE National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), on Saturday evening, confirmed the abduction of one of its corps members, Grace Oghene Edegware, in Abuja.

THE National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), on Saturday evening, confirmed the abduction of one of its corps members, Grace Oghene Edegware, in Abuja.She was reportedly abducted on Wednesday along with three other passengers of a vehicle in Kwali Area Council of the FCT by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

She was reportedly abducted on Wednesday along with three other passengers of a vehicle in Kwali Area Council of the FCT by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

In a statement issued by the Director of Press Unit, Mrs Abosede Aderibigbe, in Abuja, the NYSC said the scheme was already in liaison with the police towards rescuing the corps member.

The statement reads:”The management of the National Youth Service Corps wishes to inform the general public that the scheme is aware of the abduction of a corps member, Grace Oghene Edegware.

“Grace, who hails from Delta State and deployed to Lagos State for national service, is reported to have been abducted along with three other passengers in Kwali Area Council of the FCT while traveling on Wednesday.

“Management wishes to inform the public that NYSC is already meeting with the police towards rescuing the corps member and reuniting her with her family, friends and colleagues.”
