Nottingham Forest secured their first victory at Old Trafford in 30 years with a dramatic 3-2 win over Manchester United on Saturday.

The visitors delivered a stellar performance, capitalizing on United’s defensive woes to claim all three points in a Premier League thriller.

Forest, under the guidance of Nuno Espirito Santo, scored within two minutes of each half, frustrating the Red Devils, who have struggled defensively despite the arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim.

Nikola Milenković opened the scoring in the second minute with a precise header from a corner kick. United equalized in the 18th minute when Rasmus Højlund capitalized on a rebound to slot home, giving the home side hope.

Both teams had opportunities to take the lead before the break, including a Bruno Fernandes free-kick that struck the post. However, they entered halftime on level terms.

Forest regained the lead just two minutes into the second half when Morgan Gibbs-White capitalized on a blunder by goalkeeper Andre Onana, whose poor positioning allowed a straightforward strike to find the net. Seven minutes later, Chris Wood extended the lead with another header, leaving United chasing the game.

Although Bruno Fernandes pulled one back for the hosts with a fine strike after excellent work by Amad Diallo, United failed to find an equalizer. The loss marked a second consecutive Premier League defeat for Amorim, who had also suffered a loss to Arsenal in the previous week.

Super Eagles right-back Ola Aina played a pivotal role for Forest, completing the full 90 minutes, while compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi made a late appearance as a substitute.

The result leaves Manchester United in 13th place with 18 points from 15 matches, while Nottingham Forest climbed to fifth place with 25 points, edging Aston Villa on goal difference.

In other matches, Manchester City dropped points after a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, while Brentford defeated Newcastle United in a 4-2 thriller. The highly anticipated Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool was postponed due to severe weather conditions caused by a storm.
