NLNG has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the operational efficiency of its domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (DLPG) supply chain as part of its continuous improvement strategy, Okay.ng reports.

At a recent stakeholder engagement session held in Lagos, NLNG outlined plans to enhance its DLPG supply operations through the digitalisation of key processes.

The initiative includes the launch of a new platform aimed at streamlining regulatory procedures, optimising risk management, and improving the overall buyer experience.

According to Tolulope Longe, NLNG’s Manager, Commercial Contract Management, the company’s digital transformation will introduce IT-supported relationship management tools, automated issue resolution, centralised real-time payment systems, and an improved case management framework.

These upgrades are designed to ensure a seamless supply process despite prevailing market shifts and external pressures.

“The planned improvements will enable and consolidate NLNG’s resolve to delivering 100% of its LPG supply to the Nigerian market,” Longe said.

“Our strategic roadmap is designed to make LPG accessible and available across Nigeria, in line with our vision of being a globally competitive energy company that improves lives sustainably.”

She emphasised the significance of these initiatives, particularly as NLNG continues its advocacy for LPG as a cleaner energy alternative to kerosene and other fossil fuels.

Longe also highlighted NLNG’s focus on ensuring the sustainability and growth of Nigeria’s LPG market. She said this would be achieved through enhanced collaboration with offtakers, maintaining pricing stability, and ensuring long-term market viability.

While acknowledging industry concerns, she stressed that operational efficiency was key to meeting rising market demands.

As part of its strategy, NLNG aims to strengthen its engagement with stakeholders to improve overall market efficiency. Efforts will be concentrated on enhancing customer interactions, minimising schedule disruptions, ensuring timely confirmations and deliveries, and prioritising customers with demonstrable capacity to handle supply volumes.

NLNG reaffirmed its commitment to driving sustainability and delivering long-term value to Nigerians as it adapts to evolving market realities.

Okay.ng reports that the company’s renewed focus on digitalisation and operational efficiency is expected to have a significant impact on the domestic LPG sector, supporting the nation’s broader clean energy transition goals.
