Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has been arraigned before the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on charges stemming from an alleged assault on government officials.

The incident, which occurred on February 5, 2025, involved officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during a routine enforcement exercise.

On the morning of February 5, three town planning officers—TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—visited the Odogwu Bar in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu, Ota, as part of their duties.

The establishment is linked to Portable. Upon arrival, they encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father.

After introducing themselves and requesting the building’s approved plan, the officials were informed that Portable was unavailable. Shortly thereafter, Portable allegedly arrived, armed with a firearm and accompanied by nine individuals, and reportedly attacked the unarmed officials.

The officials sustained injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command. The case was subsequently escalated to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further action.

On February 19, 2025, Portable surrendered to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba, Lagos. He was subsequently transferred to the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

CSP Odutola confirmed, “Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, Abeokuta, at exactly 13:23 hours today, February 19, 2025.”
