Nigerian music is growing really fast with high rate speed in recent times as everytime we read, listen and watch new developments everyday.

Starting from the current leaders of new school music Davido, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and the sweet voiced singer that just joined the gang Ayo Jay who have taken Nigerian music on the mainstream right now as the ‘Naija To The World’ tag is going to be real.

These artistes have started rubbing shoulders with the likes of Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Drake, Tinashe, Kid Ink, Rihanna and a whole lot more.

We know there are there already, now let’s look at other artistes that might flourish in the same line;

• Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye a.k.a Simi

This is our Rihanna ! Simi is definitely a talent and a superb singer we might not forget anytime soon.

The singer born in Ojuelegba, Surulere, came mainstream in Nigeria when she released ‘Tiff’ on the 9th of June 2014 the song which won ‘Best Alternative Song’ category at The Headies 2015 edition. Simi released a new single titled ‘Jamb Question’ on the 15th of February 2015 then the single strucked us all and eventually we had a remix of it with the ever funny Falz on 17th August that same year.

With no much stressing, the singer is endowed with a sweet voiced and she was always compared with Rihanna. Its nothing bad if Roc Nation, Sony/RCA, Universal Music, G.O.O.D Music, e.t.c should get her a massive deal she won’t disappoint.

• Korede Bello

If more scouting is done by international labels about artistes to sign then I probably think Korede Bello can’t be left out Laye ! Kojo

Korede Bello is more than just a sweet voiced act he is also an handsome bobo another selling point for him too ! His recent single ‘Do Like That’ produced by Mavin in-house producer Altims gat Korede switching from low tempo to high tempo this shows the perfect sound foreigners love.

Korede already has the fame already in Nigeria with no much talking his swicth internationally might take him to much higher grounds.

• Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade a.k.a Mr Eazi

Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade (born in Port Harcourt, known professionally as Mr Eazi,is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer based in Ghana since 2007. An internationally performing artist signed to Wizkid‘s StarBoy Worldwide label.

Mr Eazi is bound to hit hard and be one of the best RnB, Afrobeat and Soul genres music artist in Africa in the coming years the singer has made hit single like ‘Skintight’, ‘Dance For Me’, ‘Holl Up’ and are jams in both Ghana and Nigeria and listened to africanwide. He is set to drop the remix to ‘Skintight’ which would feature his boss Wizkid and Justine Skye.

Mr Eazi is talented and might also flourish with an international deal.

• Niniola Apata a.k.a Niniola

Niniola is another sweet voiced and eloquent singer you should have on this list the sexy singer should not be left.

Being a contestant at MTN Project Fame and finishing as one of the runner-ups she continued her music life releasing single such as ‘Akara Oyibo’, ‘Soke’, ‘Ibadi’ ‘Je’te’, ‘Shabba’ and her recent one a cover of Kid Ink’s ‘Time Of Your Life’ shows she is not slowing down as she would become a mighty force to reckon with.

• Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy

Now to the Reggae-Dancehall side, you will forever pick Burna Boy when it comes to talk about this type of genre in Africa.

Oluwa Burna as he is fondly called is blessed in this genre fitting in this type of sound abroad is definitely going to be a nice step to take.

My list is definitely incomplete yes I know, you can share your views via the comment box below.
