Nigeria mourns the loss of one of its beloved actors as news of the death of renowned Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi, shocks the entertainment industry.

The President of the Yoruba Movies Directors Guild and Founder of Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, made the heartbreaking announcement, revealing that Afolabi had passed away.

The talented actor reportedly succumbed to complications arising from a slip in his bathroom, which led to a fatal accident.

Expressing his grief, Yoruba movie star Odunlade Adekola took to social media, posting a poignant picture of Afolabi alongside the caption, “Jesus Christ, we lost Murphy.”

The late actor was born in Osun State and hailed from the vibrant town of Osogbo.
