Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) has emerged victorious in the presidential election held in Lagos State, Nigeria.

The highly anticipated election saw Obi defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a total of 582,354 votes against APC’s 572,606 votes.

Obi’s success in Lagos is also seen as a major setback for the APC, which has dominated the state’s politics for years.
