Nicki Minaj has tweeted on Wednesday after her fans in Saudi Arabia were pleading with her to continue with her show in the country.

Okay.ng had reported that the 36-year-old rapper cancelled earlier scheduled performance at Jeddah World Fest in Saudi Arabia.

It can be recalled that several backlash surrounded her now cancelled performance.

Minaj took to her Twitter handle to explain why her performance was cancelled and also narrated an incident she almost got arrested in Jamaica.

She tweeted, “I performed in Jamaica before & when i got off the stage I was surrounded by police with guns drawn. They were ready 2 take me to jail b/c they said I forgot to bleep a couple curses…. I could make one mistake & go to jail in a diff country where women have no rights.”

Ummm for the ppl in the back, I wasn’t saying Jamaica doesn’t have women’s rights. I gave an example of what happened in JA to explain how easy it would be to do one thing wrong in Saudia Arabia b/c I’m not aware of every single rule & be locked up. Everyone knows I love JA. STFU

I’m tired of my fans sending me DM’s saying they want to commit suicide. You guys will never know the things my fans express to me privately. It would break me if even one of my fans were arrested, or BEATEN for expressing themselves. God is LOVE. NO disrespect to the Saudi govt
