Germany coach, Joachim Low, excluded 2014 World Cup hero, Mario Gotze and Liverpool midfielder, Emre Can, from their 27-man provisional squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The squad and their club-side are as follows: Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern), Marc-André ter Stegen (Barcelona), Bernd Leno (Bayer Leverkusen), Kevin Trapp (PSG).
