Nasboi, the popular skit maker and singer, has revealed that he is facing death threats following his criticism of Wizkid for his recent social media remarks directed at Don Jazzy.

The content creator expressed his concerns during an interview with Cool FM, where he disclosed the backlash he has received since speaking out against Wizkid’s actions.

During the Bahd And Boujee Podcast, Nasboi had openly chided Wizkid for mocking Don Jazzy, sparking a debate about the boundaries of celebrity opinions. In the interview with Cool FM, Nasboi recounted receiving threats to his life after expressing his views on the matter.

“It’s like once you’re a celebrity, you do not have an opinion. But you, who is a normal guy on the street, you have an opinion. You can decide to say you love Wizkid over Davido and that’s okay. And me, who’s a normal guy who is a celebrity, shouldn’t have the same privilege?” Nasboi questioned.

Reflecting on the consequences of his remarks, Nasboi emphasized the importance of free expression, particularly for public figures. He highlighted the need for individuals in the spotlight to have the same rights to voice their opinions as anyone else.

“Because of what I said on my recent podcast interview. It’s a simple question: Do you think Wizkid offended Don Jazzy with his statement? They asked me a direct question and I think yes. For calling him an influencer, I feel like the context wasn’t okay. I would feel bad. And because of what I said about WizKid, somebody is in my DM saying I will die like my brother,” Nasboi revealed, referring to the alarming nature of the threats he has received.
