Musa Yola, the immediate younger brother of Aisha Buhari, has threatened to drag online news platform, Sahara Reporters, to court over a controversial report it published and continues to stand by despite denials from those involved.

The news platform had on Sunday, published an article which accused Yola of duping an unnamed businessman of N300m. The money, Sahara Reporters explained, was paid to ensure the security of an oil block.

The publication also stated that President Muhammadu Buhari had personally ordered for Yola to be arrested.

Responding to the report, the Presidency through the special assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu, debunked the publication.

The man at the centre of the storm, Musa Yola, also denied the allegation, but Sahara Reporters continues to circulate the story.

Yola has now threatened to file a legal suit against Sahara Reporters over the issue in order to clear his name.

Through his lawyers, Mabvocate Law House, Yola has asked Sahara Reporters to retract the report and apologise on their platform as well as in two national dailies.

Yola threatened that a failure to do those will see that they seek redress through legal means.

Below is the letter to Sahara Reporters asking for the retraction and apology:
