MTV has released the nominees list for the 2017 edition of the Video Music Awards.

The nominees list was announced by MTV on Tuesday following the successful conduct of the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

However, in the latest nominees list, the entertainment platform is seeking to eliminate gender bias as it merges the Best Female Video category and Best Male Video Category together to form an award category named Artist of the Year.

On the list of potential winners of the Artist of the year is none other than Kendric Lamar whose latest album, ‘DAMN’, went double platinum.
