The Nigerian Super Eagles are set to take on the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in their third match of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 qualifying campaign.

The match will be played on Friday, March 24, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria.

The Super Eagles have had a strong start to their AFCON campaign, with two wins out of two. They defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 in their opening match at the MKO Abiola Stadium and followed that up with a record-breaking 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe in Agadir, Morocco.

Star forward Victor Osimhen was the hero of the game, scoring four goals to give Nigeria its biggest win in history.

The Nigerian team is expected to maintain their good form against Guinea-Bissau, who have also had a strong start to their campaign.

Baciro Cande’s team defeated Sao Tome and Principe 5-1 in their opening match before drawing 2-2 with Sierra Leone in Conakry.

Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro has named a strong 23-man squad for the international break and will be relying heavily on Osimhen to score the crucial goals needed for victory.

The Napoli forward has been in impressive form this season, scoring crucial goals for his club to take them to the top of the Italian top flight.

The Super Eagles will be looking to their fans for support, with MTN Nigeria leading the way. Since partnering with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the official telecommunications partner of the Super Eagles and other national football teams, MTN has consistently shown its support for the team.

The tech giant will once again be showing their support when the Super Eagles take on Guinea-Bissau at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Friday.
