Popular media personality Laura Abebe, widely known as Moet Abebe, has candidly shared her reasons for remaining single during an episode of her podcast “Bahd and Boujee,” co-hosted with reality TV star Tolani Baj.

The 34-year-old presenter, who has been in the public eye for her previous revelations about an abusive relationship, addressed the topic with guest Nollywood actor Etim Effiong.

Moet Abebe, who has consistently made headlines for her outspoken views, began by referencing her preference for not dating men who live on the mainland in Lagos.

She expressed concerns about potential limitations in their availability, stating, “I feel like if I call you at 11 pm, you will probably give me some story like it is too late, there are police on the street, I cannot come.”

When Effiong questioned her about why she was still single, Moet responded, “You already know my reservations. I am tired of saying this every episode. Your gender needs to do more. My issue with men is that they do not have sense.”

She went on to address what she sees as a lack of commitment from men, saying, “How about men stop dipping their fingers in so many pots? Because you are making me confused. That means I equally have options. I am choosing to be single, but even if I wanted to be in a relationship, the options are not so great.”

Moet Abebe’s frank discussion about her relationship status comes after she shared her experience of enduring an abusive relationship in June 2023.

Earlier in 2021, she had expressed her unconcern about marriage, describing it as a “fraud.”
