In honour of Africa Day on May 25th, Meta has announced the launch of its third instalment of the ‘Made by Africa, Loved by the World’ campaign.

This year’s theme, “Rising Stars,” aims to amplify the voices and stories of eight talented individuals from across Africa who are making their mark on the global stage and reshaping the world’s perception of the continent.

The campaign showcases rising talents representing various creative industries, including music, fashion, lifestyle, and art.

The creators have self-shot vlog-style short stories that offer a glimpse into their worlds, highlighting how their African heritage inspires their creativity.

To further celebrate Africa’s authenticity, Meta has also launched a dedicated community Reels challenge, encouraging the African community on Instagram to share their unique expressions of dance, music, fashion, food, and art.

Participants are invited to use the hashtags #ShareYourAfrica and #AfricaMade to showcase their talents and celebrate their cultural heritage.

As part of the Africa Day festivities, Meta will host a fireside chat featuring prominent figures from across the continent.
