Renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has shared insights into her marriage to popular movie marketer Kazim Adeoti, known as Adekaz, emphasizing that their shared involvement in the entertainment industry played a significant role in her decision.

Appearing as a guest on Nollywood on Radio, Aigbe revealed that marrying someone within the industry was a strategic choice to build a strong production alliance.

“One of the reasons I married him is that we’re both in the same industry,” Aigbe explained.

“Together, we’re building a production empire. I just felt I needed someone in the industry to collaborate with, and it’s a good thing that he understands it too. Combining our strengths, the future looks promising.”

Aigbe’s recent cinema debut with her 2023 film, Ada Omo Daddy, highlighted the synergy between her and Adeoti.

The movie was well-received, showcasing their collaborative potential. Reflecting on the success, Aigbe stated, “The feedback was amazing. I was a bit nervous as it was my first cinema debut, and there was heavy competition from established names in the cinema sector. But I was confident because I knew I had a sellable product.”

Aigbe added that she aims to maximize her reach by expanding her work across multiple platforms. “I won’t just be on cinemas; I will be on all platforms I can make money from,” she noted.
