The management of Maritime Academy Oron welcomes application from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the various Higher National Diploma programmes on offer in Maritime Academy of Nigeria for the 2018/2019 Academic Session.

The programmes are listed as follows:

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA in:

  • Nautical Science (2 Years of 4 Semesters).
  • Marine Engineering (2 Years of 4 Semesters).
  • Maritime Transport & Business Management (2 Years of 4 Semesters).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

a.      HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN NAUTICAL SCIENCE/ MARINE ENGINEERING

i]        Applicants must possess the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and any two of Geography, Technical Drawing and Chemistry, obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

ii]       Possess a National Diploma in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or accredited  Institutions listed with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

iii]      Have completed a minimum of one year Post-National Diploma (ND) Industrial Training or evidence of one year Cognate Work Experience in a relevant organization.

iv]      Candidates with PASS at National Diploma from Maritime Academy of Nigeria and other accredited Institutions must have completed a minimum of two years Post-National Diploma (ND) Industrial Training or acquired a two year cognate Work Experience in a relevant organisation.

b. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) IN MARITIME TRANSPORT & BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

i]        Applicants must possess the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include Mathematics, English Language, Economics, and any other two of Commerce, Government, Principle of Account and Business Management,  obtained at NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

ii]       Possess a National Diploma in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or accredited Institutions listed with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

iii]      Have completed a minimum of one year Post-ND Industrial Training or evidence of one year Cognate Work Experience in a relevant organization.

iv]      Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria and other accredited Institutions must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training or acquired a two year cognate Work Experience in a relevant organisation.
