Kano State follows with 10.2 million registrants. Other states with high registration numbers include Kaduna, Ogun, Oyo, Katsina, The Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Rivers, Delta and Bauchi. Conversely, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, and Ekiti states have recorded the lowest enrollment figures.

Specifically, Bayelsa recorded 758,111 registrations, Ebonyi 990,775, and Ekiti 1,143,102. Further more, other states with lower NIN registration numbers include; Cross River, Taraba, Yobe, Kogi, Enugu, Kwara and Imo.
