Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has taken proactive measures to address the persistent electricity challenges facing the state, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

Concerned by the erratic power supply, Governor Idris has invited the Managing Director of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO) for a crucial roundtable discussion aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply throughout Ramadan.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the current situation, Governor Idris emphasized the need to prioritize the welfare of the people of Kebbi State. “We need to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Kebbi State,” he stated, highlighting the importance of reliable electricity supply, especially during religious observances.

In addition to addressing the electricity issue, the Kebbi State Government has pledged to provide essential support to the masses during Ramadan. As part of its Ramadan feeding program, free foodstuffs will be distributed to ensure that residents have access to adequate nutrition during this sacred period.
