An eye witness who craved for anonymity disclosed to us that the people started shouting at the Senator and later begun throwing stones at him smashing and damaging his car.
According to him: “It took a while before Governor Aminu Bello Masari came to his rescue and whisked him away in official vehicle.”

People of Funtua said they were not happy with Senator Abu Ibrahim for not performing his duties to his people as their Senator while others were angry over the senator’s inability to show any willingness in supporting policies of President Muhammed Buhari.

Another source who requested not to be named also revealed to us that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Katsina had earlier on tried to reach out to the Senator prior the event but couldn’t reached the senator.
