Katsina: Masari asks workers to resume duty on June 8

Governor Aminu Bello Masari has approved for the resumption of duty of all workers of the state and local government councils on normal basis from Monday, 8th June, 2020.

A circular signed by the permanent secretary for Administration in the office of Head of civil service of Katsina state, Lawal Ado Dutsinma explained that the approval followed the lifting of all forms of ban and restrictions under lockdown in Katsina state.

The circular mandated permanent secretaries and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies to ensure enforcing of experts formulated guidelines and protocols for the resumption of work by the workers.

According to the circular, such guidelines and protocols include provision of handwashing facilities in their respective ministries, departments and agencies-MDAs.

It said that the workers should be mandated to wear facemask at their duty post and ensure the enforcement of social and physical distancing in the offices.

The circular requested permanent secretaries and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries Departments and Agencies to bring the content of the circular for the attention of all for strict compliance.
