The Kano State Film Censorship Board has closed down over 100 games clubs and 50 dance houses for allegedly “exposing underage girls to prostitution and encouraging truancy among pupils and students”. The agency also said “some of the girls were impregnated in the clubs”.

Mr. Ismail Afakallah who is the executive secretary of the board said “there was a case of two teenage girls impregnated in one of the houses”.

Mr. Ismail Afakallah said the Kano State Government took “harsh position” “to ensure that Kano state was free of vices that corrupt the morals of the society”
