Germany international Kai Havertz has officially joined Arsenal Football Club from Chelsea on a long-term contract.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who has been a pivotal figure at both club and international levels in recent seasons, brings his formidable skills and experience to the Gunners’ squad.

Havertz boasts an impressive record, having already made 35 appearances for the German national team, netting 13 goals and representing his country in two major tournaments. His arrival at Arsenal adds to the club’s growing arsenal of talented players.

A product of Bayer Leverkusen’s renowned academy, Havertz signed his first professional contract with the German club in 2016. During his four-year stint, he made 150 appearances, scoring 46 goals and providing 31 assists.

Notably, he became Leverkusen’s youngest debutant in the Bundesliga at the age of 17 years and 126 days in October 2016. He also holds the record as their youngest-ever scorer in the league, securing a late equalizer in a thrilling 3-3 draw against VfL Wolfsburg in April 2017.

In the summer of 2020, Havertz made a high-profile move to the Premier League, joining Chelsea. Over the course of three seasons in west London, he made 139 appearances, netting 32 goals and contributing 15 assists in all competitions. Havertz’s crowning achievement at Chelsea came in the 2021 UEFA Champions League Final, where he scored the decisive goal in the team’s triumph over Manchester City.

Expressing his excitement over the signing, Arsenal’s Sporting Director, Edu, hailed Havertz as an exciting addition to the squad, praising his attacking quality and versatility. The acquisition of the 24-year-old German talent is seen as a significant step towards strengthening Arsenal’s young core of promising players.

Manager Mikel Arteta also lauded Havertz, emphasizing his top-quality attributes, versatility, and intelligence on the field.

In his first comments as an Arsenal player, Havertz expressed his enthusiasm about joining the esteemed club and becoming a part of the Arsenal family. He acknowledged the club’s rich history and revealed his ambition to achieve great things at Arsenal. Havertz also highlighted the high level of mentality within the Arsenal squad, which has made them formidable opponents in recent times.

His primary goal is to win trophies for the club and its passionate supporters, promising to give his all on the field.

As Arsenal prepares for the upcoming pre-season training, the club eagerly awaits the opportunity to welcome Havertz and his family.

The midfielder is equally excited to meet his new teammates and staff as they embark on their collective journey towards success.

Kai Havertz’s arrival at Arsenal marks a significant milestone for the club, signaling their determination to compete at the highest level and challenge for major honors. With his exceptional talent and proven track record, Havertz is poised to make a resounding impact on Arsenal’s midfield and contribute to their pursuit of silverware in the seasons to come.
