Kaduna Senators Shehu Sani, Suleiman Hunkuyi Dump APC

Senators Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi alongside members of the Restoration and Akida faction on Friday dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna.

Speaking to newsmen, the leader of the Restoration group, Tom Maiyashi said consultations are on going with other political parties and a decision on the political party they will join would be announced soon.

Maiyashi also disclosed that the two senators did not attend the press conference because of security concerns “since they were attacked by thugs at the last two press conferences that they addressed in Kaduna.”

He said the party was bereft of internal democracy and has failed to meet the expectations of Nigerians.

The chief of staff to Senate President Bukola Saraki, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, who is also a member of the Akida group, dumped APC weeks ago.
