Jovago’s former CEO and Nigeria MD, Marek Zmyslowski tweeted this recently.

It’s not clear what’s going on at this time (we’ve reached out to both parties for comment), but it seems that Marek’s departure from the Rocket Internet startup he founded in August 2013 might have gone less amicably than was apparent on the surface.

Jovago’s global CEO is currently Paul Midy, who came into the role at some point before Marek left the startup completely. It is not clear when exactly Paul Midy joined Jovago. Jovago has expanded rapidly across Africa and into Asia, with late 2015 launches in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Kushal Dutta replaced Marek as Jovago Nigeria’s MD.

Paul Midy might also be the frenchman Marek’s tweet is referring to. We aren’t quite sure at this point in time, but Jovago’s alleged intent to sue Marek might have had something to do with another recent tweet of his.

Who wants to read "Confessions of an exRocket founder?"

This is a developing story.
