Joe Igbokwe, a notable chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has alleged that President Bola Tinubu has strategically placed loyalists across various sectors to strengthen his chances in the 2027 presidential elections.

In a Facebook post, Igbokwe claimed that President Tinubu initiated his re-election planning well before officially assuming office in 2023.

“Before he even stepped into Aso Villa, he had started planning for 2027. His challengers may not know that the Apamaku had already planted his men everywhere,” Igbokwe stated.

According to the APC chieftain, those intending to contest against President Tinubu in the next election cycle might be underestimating his strategic capabilities.

He further remarked, “The truth is that those who want to challenge PBAT in 2027 are not as smart as he is.”

Igbokwe’s comments have emerged amid accusations from opposition leaders who claim that President Tinubu has been meddling in the affairs of rival political parties to destabilize them.

Notably, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has alleged that the crises within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) are part of a deliberate strategy by the ruling party to weaken opposition forces ahead of the 2027 elections.

The ongoing claims have sparked discussions among political analysts and citizens alike, with many wondering how these alleged strategies will influence the political landscape leading up to the next general elections. However, the presidency has yet to respond to these allegations.
