The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a stern warning to candidates against engaging in multiple registrations for the upcoming 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The registration process for the 2024 UTME is scheduled to commence on January 15.

In a statement signed by Ville Pius, the Director of JAMB’s Test Administration Department, the board emphasized that multiple registrations are strictly prohibited, and candidates found violating this rule will face disqualification and possible prosecution.

Pius stated, “Multiple registrations are not allowed in the 2024 UTME exercise. Candidates who register more than once would be identified, disqualified, and prosecuted.”

The director advised candidates to approach the board for necessary corrections if any errors occur during the registration process, rather than obtaining fresh application documents.

Failure to adhere to this guideline may result in the invalidation of their applications.

Prospective candidates are urged to thoroughly read and understand the various guidelines provided for the registration process.

Upon completion of registration, candidates will be required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on compliance with ethical standards governing their applications.

Pius also emphasized the importance of safeguarding security details, such as registration numbers, passwords, e-mail addresses, and e-PIN.

Candidates are cautioned against sharing this sensitive information with third parties. Additionally, no examination center is authorized to request or accept candidates’ passwords.

JAMB previously announced that the deadline for the 2024 UTME registration is February 26. The examination is scheduled to take place from April 19 to 29.
