The idea that lightning never strikes the
same place twice is an old superstition *storm*

There is no reason why it wouldn’t
..if there is a thunderstorm in a given area, then objects & places which are more prominent/conductive are more likely 2 be struck

For instance, lightning strikes the Empire State Building in NY about 100 times per year
