Terry G, the popular Nigerian singer known for his eccentric style and unique brand of music, has announced his retirement from the music industry.

The artist shared the news with his fans via a post on Instagram on Saturday, citing “personal reasons” for his decision.

In the heartfelt message, Terry G expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support throughout his music career.

He acknowledged the loyalty of his fan base and thanked them for standing by him “all these years back to back.”

“I have to say a big thank you to my fans for staying true with me all these years back to back. I really appreciate you all. Thank you so much for the love, I really appreciate,” Terry G conveyed in the Instagram post.

The artist went on to reveal that he is about to make a significant announcement that may disappoint some of his fans but emphasized that he has personal reasons for the decision.

“I am about to make a big announcement; I know it is going to hurt a lot of people, but I have my personal reasons. I am quitting music. I no dey do again. I am done, and I really appreciate you guys for showing me so much love,” he disclosed.

Born Gabriel Oche Amanyi, Terry G gained fame for his unconventional dress sense, energetic performances, and controversial lyrics. Over the years, he earned monikers such as “Akpako Master,” “Ginjah Master,” “Hitman, G.zuz,” and “Terry G.zus.”
