Following reports in the media that Illbliss also known as Oga Boss quit the game, owing to the post ‘a goodbye’ on Instagram last week by him that went viral, spawning comments and questions from fans, it seem the self professed that ‘Ibo Boy’ is not done with mainstream music as he set to release fourth album, ‘Illygaty:7057’

The rapper and label executive last year after a well-received release of his third LP, Powerful, stayed the course recording, performing and promoting, rejuvenating the artiste side of his brand, which had taken a back seat to his other endeavours within the entertainment scene and outside in the previous years.

Illbliss climaxed the year with videos of major buzz singles including ‘Bank Alerts’ and ‘Chukwu Agozi go Gi’, which pulled him from a behind-the-scene personality in the industry and put him on the forefront of the music scene, earning him respect as a major contender in the industry.

This year, the rapper has garnered for himself buzz and rave reviews with his two singles – ‘Nku’ featuring Flavour and Storm Rex and ‘Ayakata’ featuring Falz The Bahd Guy as well featuring on other artistes works, and setting him up for a follow-up fourth album release.

The Gorretti Records boss current effort and focus is creating more as an artiste and collaborating with as many talented artistes as possible. On this note he and his team selected 12 cuts (most of which would have been released as singles) best suiting his brand’s current vibe to release as a body of work, his fourth album.

He recently hit the refresh button on himself in order to come out stronger and fresher, respond to comments and questions regarding his ‘goodbye…I’m done with music’ post on the social media.

“I’m not going to say it wasn’t or that it was a stunt, even though we did mean to get your attention it was really a moment I chose to openly close a chapter of my life as I proceed in renewed energy. My new album ‘Illygaty:7057’ is a concise offering that is meant to serve as a sort of prelude to what is next for me as an artist and as a brand, and what is to come.

“I go by the moniker Oga boss not necessarily because I want to brag about being a made man but for fans or listeners to mirror themselves through my brand and my music and see a leader, a champion, a success story, greatness in themselves. Even as I intend to continue to make fun, glamourous and aspirational music and perform more, I plan on doing more to inspire younger people which is why I’m tapping into the wave and energies of the younger fresher artists and even more so introducing newer talents to the scene.”

IllBliss noted that the new LP, parades some guests lines, vocals and presence of some the finest young music acts Nigeria has to offer including Vector, Reekado Banks, Koker, CDQ, Lola Rae, Mr Eazi, Runtown, Ycee, and Dremo with production imprints by Kezy Klef, Sesd, Del’ B, Tune X, Big Foot, Waz Beat and Tha Suspect.

The collection is a soundtrack to his story as he reflects on his journey and shares with his fans, ushering them to the new phase of his career as a musician and entertainer. The album is set for a digital release and will also be broadcast on mainstream radio to include fans without pre-requisite Internet access.

To officially break the silence a ‘freestyle’ recording titled ‘Fortem’ has been released and it’s the first of a series that will drop before the ILLYGATY:7057 album.
