Manchester City might loss Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer next season if he does not sign a new deal.

Gundogan joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund for £20million three years ago.

The 28 years old midfielder has only made 36 appearances for City this season, winning Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

However, the German professional footballer has not agreed on a new deal with City, despite having 12 months left on his contract.

Gundogan feels his prospects could be limited next season if City land Atletico Madrid holding midfielder, Rodrigo.

Rodrigo made 46 appearances for Atletico this season, netting twice.

But, his release clause at Atletico is just under £62million and he has four years left on his contract.

The Spanish club aims to tie the 22-year-old Spanish international with a new contract for his impressive first season with them.
