The Ijaw Youth Consultative Forum (IYCF) has praised the Niger Delta Peace and Stability Forum, led by Sir Godfrey Pondi, for their recent visit to congratulate the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP). The visit highlighted the Administrator’s notable achievements during his first year in office, particularly in promoting peace and stability across the Niger Delta region.

In a statement released by IYCF’s Chief Executive Officer, High Chief Preye Raphael Ebizimor, the forum’s visit was commended for acknowledging the Administrator’s impactful contributions. Ebizimor emphasized that the Niger Delta Peace and Stability Forum has played a vital role in sustaining regional stability by actively supporting and encouraging the Administrator’s initiatives.

“Their efforts have significantly contributed to the relative peace and stability witnessed in the region in recent years,” Ebizimor stated. He also underscored the importance of the Presidential Amnesty Programme in curbing violence and fostering economic growth in the Niger Delta. “The programme’s emphasis on disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) has been highly effective, and the Administrator’s accomplishments in this area highlight the programme’s positive impact,” he added.

The IYCF’s recognition highlights the importance of collaboration and unified efforts in achieving lasting peace and stability in the region. “This acknowledgment reinforces the value of working together to achieve sustainable development and enduring peace,” Ebizimor remarked.
