Super Eagles forward, Ideye who plays his professional football with Greek Champions Olympiakos has been decorated with the Super League match Day award in Greece.

Finesse, passion and robustness worthy of a Champion were the elements displayed by Ideye and his team-mates against AEK, securing Olympiakos a comfortable 3-0 victory.

The Nigerian international who has now scored 15 goals in 28 league appearances for Olympiakos struck the fine opener as his side secured maximum points in the last league fixture over AEK Athens before the international break.

A delighted Ideye dedicated the award to his club mates in a tweet saying: “I got awarded ‘the best goal’ of the Greek super league (GSL) match day 6 today,Big thanks to my team and everyone who voted for me.”

The former West Brom man who now leads the Super League top scorer chart with five goals from four games, two goals more than second placed Panathinaikos’ Berg however failed to replicate that form for the Super Eagles as he fired blanks during Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia.

Ideye’s superb form in front of goal has Olympiakos sitting second on the league table, one point behind leaders Panathinaikos.
