Abosede, the mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, has reiterated her call for a DNA test to be conducted on her grandson, Liam, despite resistance from her daughter-in-law, Wunmi.

The controversy surrounding Liam’s paternity took a new turn after Wunmi, Mohbad’s widow, reneged on her previous willingness to undergo a DNA test for her son.

She cited her late husband’s exclusive rights to request such a test and maintained that Mohbad was the only man she had been with.

However, in a video circulating on social media, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, urged Wunmi to comply with the DNA test request.

While acknowledging that the issue should be a private family matter, she expressed disappointment with how it had been publicized by Mohbad’s father.

“Nigerians should not be concerned about the DNA issue; it was supposed to be a family issue,” Abosede stated in the video.

“Why are Nigerians hypocrites? By God’s grace, we shall get justice for Mohbad, even if his father’s intentions are different.”

“Let Omowunmi do her part too. I cannot support her. I want her to do the DNA test.”
