It was reported in some media outlets this week that a top source in the NFF claimed the Chelsea midfielder on behalf of his cteammates demanded they get their allowances and bonuses in dollars.

But Mikel on Thursday took to the Super Eagles official Twitter handle to debunk the claims.

“I never granted any such interview and the team had not made that kind of demand at any time to the football federation,” he was quoted.

Mikel is expected to be in action for the Super Eagles when they entertain Algeria on matchday 2 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Uyo on 12 November.
