Popular rapper Falz has insisted he is not older than 27 years, following accusations by some social media users that he must have reduced his age.

The rapper had released a new album on 27 of October, which interestingly coincided with his 27th birthday.

But some music followers argued afterwards that the singer ‘faked’ his age.

However, Falz, in the heat of the social media stir, said he was ready to show anybody his birth certificate to prove his age.

But the rapper apparently had something else in mind.

“I just said it as a joke. I have not taken my birth certificate anywhere or shown anybody,” he told Sunday Scoop.

”I don’t know why people think I’m lying about my age. All I know is that I’m doing well and I’m happy with my life.”

The 17-track album features A-list artists such as Olamide, Davido, Ycee, Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Terry Apala, Sir Dauda, and Medikal.

Falz said, “I worked on the album for about a year, and when the time was right, I released it. The response has been very good. People love it and I’m very excited about that.”
